Every year Young Enterprise helps 250,000 young people learn about business and the world of work. Their vision is for every young person in the UK to leave education with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to succeed in work and life.
Through our charitable partnership with Young Enterprise, we’re incredibly proud to have the opportunity to help them achieve this vision by sharing our expert advice and knowledge with students across Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield.
Alongside a financial contribution from the business itself and our teams, this partnership sees our staff acting as volunteer business advisers for students taking part in the Young Enterprise Company Programme, and supporting young people across a range of activities – from delivering talks on careers to partnering with teachers to support enterprise projects in the classroom.
Our aim is to share our expertise to help young people in the region become more financially savvy as they begin their adult lives, but most of all, be on hand to act as mentors to advise and help them as they make the transition from schools to further education and the world of work.
The partnership will enable hundreds of students build key employability and financial capability skills. They’ll be helping young people to make the connection between school and the world of work, enabling students to develop the knowledge and attitudes they need to succeed.– Steve Arscott, Regional Manager of Young Enterprise
