Aaron Alcock

Independent Financial Adviser

I’m a fully qualified Independent Financial Adviser who specialises in financial planning to help people and companies meet their objectives.

This could mean specialist retirement planning; helping companies to provide benefits to their staff or creating full bespoke financial plans for individuals and families.

Most of the time, sensible financial planning means regularly reviewing progress to ensure the plan remains ‘on track’.  This means that relationships are started and maintained. For me, this is one of the best things about being a financial adviser.

Out of work:

  • Playing football & squash
  • Following cricket & rugby
  • Family (my wife also works here!)

I joined the company in 2019. My passion is the ‘client journey’. Understanding clients long term goals and then implementing a strategy to achieve those goals is the most satisfying part of the job.

It is important that the client can rely on me to support them on this journey, building a strong client relationship. I have worked in the industry for over 30 years covering many subject areas within the industry, primarily investments, pensions and protection. My mantra is ‘it’s an art not a science’.

The best aspect of my job is helping people achieve something they did not think they had the resources to do. For example, being able to retire early and still maintain their standard of living.

Whilst I look at all areas of financial planning, I specialise in pensions and investments (in particular with people approaching and in retirement).

My professional qualification is the Diploma in Financial Planning.
